I love photography and that love can be summed up in one sentence: The ability to capture and preserve moments. If you’re a very observant person like I am, it’s pure Zen. I see these moments everywhere all of the time… Accordingly ever since I was a kid I’ve made a study out of the quirks of human beings. I find it facinating and consider myself a total people watcher now. And from this obsession with observance, I’ve developed a keen ability to predict key moments in somebody’s body language, the telltail be-all-end-all truth moments if you will. Those moments range from the completely innocent to the downright scary. I photograph people primarily because those moments can be captured and saved forever, and I think there’s something really special about that; but they are also everywhere else in life and I love going after those as well.

My other core passion in life is aviation. Ever since I can remember I wanted to fly like a bird. Mostly just I wanted to have the freedom that birds do ~ The ability to go where you want to, when you want to, how you want to. I guess it’s no surprise then that at a young age I wanted to become a Pilot. It’s one of the greatest things I’ve ever done. There’s nothing like being up there, in grandeur, floating above the expanse of a tumultuous world below ~ In that sense it’s therapeutic for a person like me.

I must confess I am an Apple FanBoy. They just do it better, and their stuff just works. Not only does it work, but over 90% of the time it’s Insanely Great! I take pride in possessing everything from an iPhone all the way up to a MacPro Tower with 20TB’s of RAID storage, more RAM than I’ll probably use for photo work and 57″ of color calibrated displays between two NEC monitors!

I follow everything Apple, because why wouldn’t you want to own products inspired by a raving maniacal over controlling perfectionist who was a genius lol? Steve even cared about what color the chips were inside the computer. Apple products are art, plain and simple. Ok, enough of that.. My other addiction is web programming. I love tinkering with PHP specifically and modifying WordPress Themes with CSS. I’ll confess I’m no software engineer, but the little I do know allows me to get by in the world of website design. When I was 10 and too young to fly big airplanes I starting little R/C airplanes instead. Gradually my pursuits became more and more technologically advanced as bordem set in with each aircraft. I got into R/C helicopters, and 30 years later I still find myself flying R/C albeit with much more sophisticated aircraft and plans on the drawing board to venture into multi-rotors, all with one goal: To capture the most insanely great high definition aerial video & imagery possible. FeatherLIGHT™ AerialHD is my new project to showcase this endeavor.
