Bald Eagle Majesty

I captured this image in Alaska, using a Canon EF 100-400mm f/4.5-5.6L IS USM lens on a tripod with an aperture of f/5.6 at 1/40th of a second, at 400mm. Bald Eagles like to sit perched on a branch while constantly scoping out their surroundings (both on the ground and in the air), making it time consuming to get a

Southern Pacific Rattlesnake

Aperture: f/6.3 | Focal length: 300 mm | ISO: 100 | Shutter speed: 1/320 s |

Jeppesen Terminal ~ KDIA

This is the inside of the Jeppesen Terminal at Denver International Airport. There’s 1.5 million square feet of space and it’s fascinating architecture that definitely deserves a closer look the next time you’re flying through KDIA. The tent like roof is made of a material that is as thin as a credit card and only weighs less then 2 lbs/sq. ft. Due to the design of the roof structure this material is able to withstand wind gusts and support snow loads. All in all, it weighs 400 tons. The roof (at it’s highest point) is 126 feet off the terminal floor and is

Product Shoot for RA Brands

Aperture: f/22 | Focal length: 57 mm | ISO: 100 | Shutter speed: 1/2 s |
Posted on November 24th, 2009

This was a product shoot for Orange County based RA Brands Inc., the subject of which was their new tanning towel. I wanted to get the viewer of the product not only front and center to the image but actually immersed in the product itself, and everything it had to offer. My thought in doing this was to shoot extra close, with no borders – Just a wall to wall product spread. That was the easy part, but getting it so that the light was coming from everywhere so as to eliminate any shadows was more of a challenge. To do
